A world ravaged by the Shadow Blight is crumbling before our eyes.
City after city is swallowed, their very stones twisted into wastelands, while the survivors slip into madness. In this dying realm only one Spark remains—Elara.

Gifted with the rare Life-Giving Spark, she alone can cleanse the Blight. Hope clings to her—hope to be rescued, or used. When Elara is seized by the armies of the Dark Overlord, she is taken to Nocturne, the enemy’s citadel. There rules Lord Caeden, a ruthless warlord who commands both blade and the fate of thousands. Yet even he cannot remain unmoved by the girl whose power could either save or shatter their world.

Caught between darkness and light, captivity and freedom, duty and desire, Elara must forge her own path. Her heart wavers between fear and attraction, between faith in the good and an acceptance of the darkness with which she must now bargain. Within this fraught alliance begins not merely a war of magic, but a battle for souls—her own, and the man who holds her prisoner.
