The ending of Seven Signs of the Lion (published by Glagoslav in 2016) was left at a critical junction, begging for a sequel, and here it is – The Eighth Sign of the Lion. Follow life’s fascinating journey for Nicholas Bilanchuk in his beloved, adopted home city of Lviv, Ukraine in 2019, three years before the then unimaginable full-scale invasion by Russia in 2022.
He reappears mysteriously, emerging from a fountain in front of the Lviv Opera House in recovery mode after a traumatic confrontation with cosmic forces. To him, it seemed like he was gone for minutes – in reality, ten years had passed. Upon his return, he has the opportunity to meet up with old friends, former loves, and a new romantic interest Andzhela, whom he encounters at a concert of classical music.
Over time, regaining the strength that the magical city of lions gives him, he slowly begins to remember the traumatic events of the past, only to be given a gift at the end of the novel that leads him to heal.
