A. G. Seklemian

A. G. Seklemian (1864–1920) was an Armenian scholar, pastor, and dedicated folklorist. Born in the Ottoman Empire, he emigrated to the United States in the late 19th century. Understanding the precarious position of his homeland, he dedicated himself to transcribing the oral traditions of his childhood, ensuring that the imagination of the Armenian people would survive for future generations.
