Dmitry Glukhovsky

Dmitry Glukhovsky is geboren in Moskou in 1979. Hij is afgestudeerd in Journalistiek en Internationale Betrekkingen aan de Hebreeuwse Universiteit van Jeruzalem. Ondanks zijn relatief jonge leeftijd heeft Glukhovsky al een indrukwekkende carrière als verslaggever achter de rug. Hij werkte als stafjournalist voor de televisiezenders EuroNews in Frankrijk en Russia Today in Moskou, en heeft verslag gedaan voor Deutsche Welle Radio, Sky News en de Israëlische openbare radio. Hij was anchor voor Ruslands meest gerenommeerde publieke radiozender Mayak. Als verslaggever heeft hij overal gereisd, van Marokko en Guatemala tot IJsland en Japan.

Dmitry Glukhovsky was born in Moscow in 1979. He graduated in Journalism and International Relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Despite his relatively young age, Glukhovsky has already had an impressive career as a reporter. He worked as a staff journalist for the television channels EuroNews in France and Russia Today in Moscow, and has reported for Deutsche Welle Radio, Sky News and Israeli public radio. He was also an anchor for Russia’s most reputable public radio station Mayak. As a reporter, he has traveled everywhere, from Morocco and Guatemala to Iceland and Japan. He was deep within the Chernobyl area filming the destroyed nuclear reactor, watched the launch of Russian rockets at Baykonur, reported Israel’s standoff with Hezbollah under under fire in Kiryat-Shmona and gave the world’s first live report from the North Pole. Apart from his native Russian, Glukhovsky speaks fluent English, French, German, Hebrew and Spanish. In 2007, he got the Science Fiction Society’s Encouragement Award in the prestigious EuroCon contest for his novel Metro 2033.
